Fisher-Price Tickle Me Elmo – 15 curious facts about the Phenom Elmo

1. Tyco was the toy company that created the first Elmo doll that line of stuffed toys. He was called Tickle Me Elmo and submitted to the U.S. market in 1996. It was an instant success.
2. Unexpected demand created massive shortages. Parents in North America actually fought each other in stores to see who came to buy the popular doll.
